My family loves DCA. My children attended in home day cares prior to DCA, as we felt they needed more one on one care than what a center could offer. We moved them to DCA after realizing that they were missing out on structure and activity. We couldn’t be happier. They receive love and attention from their teachers, and are doing so well with the structure. Thank you for all you do! DCA is the best!

I absolutely love this day care! All the ‘teachers’ are excellent! My daughter has a smile on her face every time I come to pick her up and she is always well taken care of. In fact, she loves it so much, she won’t hardly take but 2 30 min naps all day, she just wants to play!

My daughter has been going to Discovery for 6 months. She is 9 months old now and is a premie, the staff at made me feel so at home and they absolutley love my daughter and take excellent care of her. In fact if it weren’t for me moving out of state I never would have taken her out of their care. I can call anytime to check on her, they give me a detailed account of her day. And it isn’t just the teachers in her room that care about her, when I walk in every afternoon to pick her up more than one person who isn’t even with her all day can pretty much tell me what kind of day she is having. That is very comforting to me. To know that so many people care about her and all the children in their care makes it a lot easier for a first time mom like myself to leave oue kids with someone we know cares. Keep up the GREAT WORK :)

WOW… We love this place. We moved here last yr from Houston and I drove up and toured all the daycare facilities in Midlothian. My 4 yr old daughter has special needs and we were looking for a daycare that would accept her for being different. It was crucial to get her into a daycare to help with socialization. I toured all the daycare facilities in Midlothian and left two of them in tears. (not Walnut Grove… they were actually very nice.) DCA was the last facility I toured. I was immediately put at ease when I met Rene the director. When I explained to her that my daughter was different she assured me that all the kids were different and they treated them as individuals. She and her staff have been amazing! This has been the BEST decision that we have made this year. My daughter has improved greatly do to Rene and her staff. I have never stressed about dropping her off and have never had a feeling of “your child is a burden” like I had at a previous facility in Houston. My daughter loves it there… can’t wait to go. As far as staff leaving…it’s like any other business… maybe they weren’t the right fit. Their staff now is Top Notch!. If you want a child care provider that treats you like family…. save yourself some time and a few tears. Discovery Children’s Academy is excellent!

I am a mother whom is very controlling and not so easy going to the needs of my child. I have tried other daycares in town, and must say Discovery Childrens Academy has put great ease to my day!! My son has special needs and I am not very trusting leaving him with anyone. DCA is a great place for children to build their social skills (Which my son needs). When looking into a daycare, people must keep in mind that this is not a “school” it is a daycare. The structure is going to be more relaxed. If structure is what some parents are looking for then find a private school to do so!!! DCA and any other daycare of child care providers may not always have certified teachers, again they are CHILD CARE PROVIDERS, they care for our children while we are at work!! I expect socializing and working in groups are more important at daycares than learning ABC’s and 123’s…that is what our children attend public or private schools for.

I am very suprised to see that people are writing negative things about Discovery Children’s Academy. My exprience has been great there! They are very good at communicating and keeping the parents up to date with Monthly Calendars and Monthly newsletters. I toured other facilities and they did not offer that. My child’s teacher has been at Discovery Children’s Academy since they have opened, so the staff turn over comments blow my mind. Every time i come in, in the afternoons and in the mornings i am always greeted with a smile and a “how are you?”. I have noticed that the staff there know ALL the children’s names reguardless if they are in their class. I would greatly recommend this center without hesitation!

I just recently had my first child and I was very nervous about putting him in daycare. I looked around at a few in town and I was very impressed by Discovery Children’s Academy. The staff was very welcoming and informative. The infant teachers helped me with my transition with someone else caring for my child. The management helped put my nerves at ease. If I had any questions I could always ask when I dropped him off or when I picked him up because the management was always there. I have recommended Discovery Childre’ns Academy to a couple of my friends and will continue to do so.

This daycare has gone above and beyond to help us. We truly appreciate them. I have one grandchild there. I do not have to worry about him while I am at work and that is a GREAT feeling. I would recommend this daycare to my family, best friend, and anyone. Thanks guys for being soooo good to us.

Excellent Daycare!: My children love this daycare! I was scared sending them to daycare at first but they love it1 I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old and the teachers are great with them. All the teachers know them and make them feel so comfortable! I would recommend this daycare to everyone.
